This is a compulsory session for patients who are not attending a specialist consultation prior to a procedure.
Prior to an endoscopic procedure all new and returning patients are required to attend a pre-admission session at the rooms. This allows our staff to discuss the need for a bowel preparation pack and instructions (if required), dietary changes and fasting times, as well as to complete the necessary health assessments prior to any booking at a day hospital facility.
Patients will be asked to bring a current referral and appropriate private fund cards and Medicare/DVA/pension cards to this appointment.
The fee structure and rebates offered by Medicare and private health funds for procedures will be explained and given to patients at their pre-admission session. Any queries regarding costs can also be discussed over the phone prior to any potential booking.
