Dr Nadeeka Samarakoon (BSc(Med) MBBS MMed FRACP) graduated from the University of NSW in 2001. She completed most of her gastroenterology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. She is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Gastroenterological Society of Australia. Dr Samarakoon moved to Canberra from Sydney in 2016.
Dr Samarakoon has an interest in all areas of gastroenterology including colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, functional gut disorders and upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Dr Samarakoon is our leading specialist in the practice and sees patients in consultation and for endoscopic procedures. She approaches care holistically and will take a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment when required.
Dr Samarakoon happily welcomes new patients from Canberra and its surrounding regions.
